"Unissued Diplomas" and Rally in Support of Kherson

A rally to honour the memory of Ukrainian students killed in the war and to raise awareness about yet another heinous act committed by Russia - the destruction of the Nova Kakhovka dam in the Kherson region.

On June 11th, we organized the rally to honor the memory of the Ukrainian students we’ve lost and raise global awareness about yet another heinous act committed by Russia - the destruction of the dam in the Kherson region, wreaking havoc on both nature and the people who have already endured so much.

First and foremost, a huge thanks go to the amazing team at ROWE Events for their invaluable support in coordinating the delivery and pick-up of chairs. Their professionalism and attention to detail made the entire process seamless.

We would also like to express our sincere appreciation to the students from the University of British Columbia (UBC), the President of UBC Ukrainian Student Union, Tetiana Poliakova, and the students from Simon Fraser University (SFU). Your participation as volunteers added a vibrant touch to the event. Your dedication and willingness help exemplify the spirit of unity and solidarity within our community. Thank you!

Last but certainly not least, a heartfelt thank you to each and every individual who joined us last Sunday. Your presence and support were a source of great strength and solace. Standing together sends a powerful message of remembrance, compassion, and resilience to the world.

Let us remember the lives lost, honor their achievements, and continue to strive and fight for the victory of Ukraine.
