Serhii's Journey: From Occupied Donetsk to University in Kyiv

Serhii grew up in Donetsk and faced significant challenges early in life. His father passed away when he was eight, and five years later, he lost his mother. Raised by his grandmother, Serhii remained dedicated to his education. Despite attending a local school in Donetsk, he also completed a Ukrainian online curriculum and was recently accepted into the National Technical University of Ukraine – Ihor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute (KPI).

Relocating to Ukraine-controlled territory as a minor, Serhii showed exceptional maturity and responsibility. However, years of limited access to proper dental care left him needing extensive and costly treatment. Understanding the urgency, the Maple Hope Foundation partnered with a dental clinic in Kyiv. We arranged direct payments and secured a 10% discount, ensuring Serhii received the care he required.

Serhii’s determination and gratitude remind us why our work is important. Thanks to your support, we can help individuals like Serhii overcome obstacles and build better futures. We are proud to have played a part in his journey and look forward to his continued success.
