Odesa, one of Ukraine’s most historic and vibrant cities, has been Vancouver’s sister city for over 80 years. This connection, established in 1944, was built on humanitarian values and the deep bonds between our communities.
This May, the Ukrainian community in Vancouver is launching the largest cultural, educational and support initiative, strengthening the lasting ties between these twin cities.
ODESA WEEK IN VANCOUVER | 23 - 31 May, 2025
All funds raised during the events will be directed towards specific areas of aid, based on requests we received directly from the residents of Odesa.
We invite you to take part in a series of events that will bring you closer to Odesa — its rich heritage, authentic history, and the iconic figures who shaped the region. These events are a powerful gesture of solidarity with a city that today is not only preserving its unique culture but also fighting for its future.
